Long Forest Project

Keep Wales Tidy and the Woodland Trust have chosen Coed Llwynonn to be a site for one of their Heritage Lottery funded Long Forest community hedgerow projects.

A 150m stretch of the original, now delapitated, hedgerow bordering the old track between the various Estate buildings and nearby parish church, was chosen for the project.  Volunteers cleared and prepared the area, then planted in late Autumn 2017 with around 1000 saplings of traditional local hedgerow varieties.  This project will lead to ongoing training and volunteering opportunities and resources over the next 2 years and then for future generations.
